Great for kid-hauling

This bike is excellent value for the money. It has adequate power for mild hills even with a kid on the back. The stopping power from the hydraulic brakes is good too. The frame is solid and the display works well (I have tested it in -5C and it still works fine). I am 5'4" tall and the bike fits me perfectly with the seat almost all the way down. It is a bit heavy, but that is to be expected with a cargo bike. All-in-all, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Riding with kids

I read many reviews before purchasing and found them helpful so I thought I’d share what would have been helpful to me:
I ride with a 6 and 2 year old on the back. I have a Thule Yepp squeezed between the Biktrix monkey bars for my younger kid. Helpfully, the Biktrix team tested this set up when I asked. They said it was a tight squeeze for the seat and didn’t necessarily recommend it but I went for it anyway. If for any reason you had to take the seat off and on I wouldn’t recommend it either but once you get it in it’s totally fine. I won’t be taking it off til my son outgrows it anyway.
I ride the bike primarily on a gravel pathway and it’s really great over that terrain, even on loose gravel it does fine.
It is heavy and can be a bit hard to manage the weight when the kids are on it and I’m doing small movements (trying to get to a crosswalk button for eg), but once I get riding that isn’t a bother.
I have loved riding this with my kids. It makes errands fun. It can be as much or as little exercise as you like, depending on the assist you choose. It was really easy to put together and the price was really competitive with other options especially because things like the foot rests come standard. But just after I bought it it went on sale $800 off and that stung a bit. Sales do come up and waiting for them is a good idea if you have the time.
Really pleased so far, would recommend.

Private but wanted to share!
Was worried about how heavy but….

I LOVE THIS BIKE!!!! I have 2 toddlers and a senior dog to tote around, needed something big enough and strong enough but I’m not that strong! I have no problem toting everyone and it’s become our favourite outting. Use assist to get going without wobbling around, comfortable, I can’t quite describe how excited I am to feel independent with it while having fun with the kids. Well built, easy to assemble, get one!!

350km and still loving it!

After 350km, I am very happy with my Skycap. I ride it a lot with my 5 year old and it has become my go to bike for errands around the house. It is much more comfortable than I expected. I even ride it for enjoyment.

Skycap 2 - The Pickup Truck of Bikes!

I recently retired and wanted to make the move to a car-less life style. The concerns I had was hauling groceries and transporting my golf clubs. Problem solved with Skycap 2. This bike is built like a tank and allows me to haul golf clubs, groceries and all sorts of other items. Loving my new Biktrix bike! A special shout out to Dillon at the Vancouver show room for all of his help. Great overall experience!

Cargo bike

I was looking for a cargo bike, but one that still rides like a normal bike. This bike is very versatile. You can load up the rear with picnic gear, as well as adding a basket to the front. I added a comfy seat and comfy seat post. Without the electric assist on, it still rides effortlessly. I am looking for a good dog trailer so I can take my dog along with me. Having the rear rack welded to the main frame, this gives me options on how to attach the trailer. Looking forward to winter being over so I can put this bike through its paces.

Heaven is a green Skycap 2

After a minor delay while I organized with Purolator for the bike to be delivered to the shop rather than to my home… it was delivered, the guys at the shop put it together, and my grandson (an e-biker) and I took delivery. Grandson gave me a brief lesson and now I’m a bonafide e-cyclist. What great fun.
