Received the FS Step thru fat tire bike and assembled it a month or so ago and have ridden it a few times. Was worried about the display as the handle bar was protruding from the box a little bit but everything worked as it should. All the parts look good and seem really solid. Assembly was a smooth process...bike is heavy so smaller individuals might need a 2nd pair of hands to take it out of the box and to hold the forks up to get the front tire on. Instructions were good, would be nice to have torque values for all the bolts and nuts. Once everything was put together (took a couple hours), the bike rides very smooth, and the default battery lasts way longer than I thought. A long bike ride in the 'sport' setting for me only got the battery to 75% so lots of rides per charge..battery is easy to take off and charge. There aren't many hills around here so battery drain would be more if you're in a hilly area. Chain, sprocket, gear changes, etc were all great right off the bat. Glad I went with the large size frame (6' 1", 32" inseam). Not a complaint, just a heads up for those coming from a basic mountain bike, this bike is heavier than I thought it would be and the fat tires are huge compared to a basic mountain tire. Next purchase would include the regular mountain tires but I'll have to try this beast out in the snow this year to see how the fat tires do...I wanted a bike to ride around the farm all year if possible. Overall, very happy with the purchase and the bike so far!
