What Battery Should I Choose?

Batteries are one of those things that you usually do not want to skimp on. We never hear anyone complaining that they get too much range from a charge. This is why we recommend getting the biggest battery you can afford.

Biktrix is proud to offer some of the largest ebike batteries on the market. Even when you pick our smallest battery option, it is often much larger than the largest offered by our competitors.

A good way to estimate approximate ride time is as follows:

  1. Calculate/check the Wh (Watt-hour) rating of the battery. This is V x Ah. Eg. 52V x 10Ah = 520Wh
  2. Check the wattage of the motor on the bike you’re considering. Eg. 500W
  3. This means that if you had to use this 500W bike at full power with a 520Wh battery, you would get roughly 520Wh/500W = ~1hour of riding.

[Batteries are like energy tanks on an eBike. Using our high capacity automotive-grade cell Battery Packs ensures that you can travel longer distances without the need for frequent recharges. Since batteries take time to recharge, buying the largest capacity that you can afford would be the best idea.

An eBike battery is usually specced using Voltage & Amp-hours (V&Ah), therefore while comparing specs between the two batteries with the same voltage rating compare the Ah (Amp-hour) rating between them, since more Ah = more capacity.

While buying a DUO bike we highly recommend not missing the opportunity of buying a Range Extender which also functions as a Standby Spare in case the primary battery is not charged or fails.]

Note that you likely won’t be using 100% power (500W) all the time, this means you would get more range if you use lesser power.

Inclusions

This package can be purchased within 30 Days from the date of delivery or while placing the eBike order whichever is earlier. BiktrixCare+ will cover the following list of eBike parts for manufacturing defects under the respective packages. BiktrixCare+ Gold is transferable once from the original buyer to another person subject to notifying the transfer of ownership to BEB.

*Motors

BEB will request to ship the motor to the Service Centre if the defect is fixable. Labour and parts cost is included in the motor service at BEB’s Service Centre. If the defect is unfixable BEB will issue a refurbished replacement. Shipping charges are excluded for the motor service. For Hub-Motors the maximum liability is the cost of the motor.

**Cancellation & Refund

BiktrixCare+ alone cannot be cancelled or refunded once the bike has been shipped. If the bike is returned under the first 14-day return window for a refund, 100% of the amount paid for this package would be refunded. If BEB decides to sever all relations with an owner under Section 19 this package would be deemed terminated with no refund

Our removable battery system offers unmatched convenience for re-charging. With the twist of a key, your battery can be brought inside and set to charge. The Swift Lite has an estimated range per charge of 40+ kms.

Suspension Fork and Integrated Lights

A suspension fork absorbs road imperfections and improves bike agility and handling. The bright head and taillights are powered by the bike's battery and can be turned on/off with a button on the handlebar control pad.

Wonderful commute bike!

This bike is great for my needs. I have about a 10 km commute to work so it responses perfectly to my needs. I can do all of my errands on it in a good radius, and drag my kids in my little cart or add-on giraffe bike for my eldest.

Battery has a decent charge for short rides, especially if you peddle. I barely use the assist unless I am really tired.

Easy to put together, beautiful yellow color.

The only downside is I had to find a subtle place to put my Tile tracker! Such a non-issue ;) !

I'm using this way more than I thought and enjoying every minute!

Front shock absorbers

When riding the bike the front shock absorbers bottom out of you hit a bump

Loving our new rides!

Our Swift Lite 3 bikes came well packaged, no damages and were very easy to assemble. These are our first E Bikes so there was a small learning curve for us as seniors but we have found them easy to ride, balance and light enough to move around. The only complaints are the controller screen is hard to see with sun glasses on and the PAS buttons are a little small and located on the bottom edge. I think we will get used to them but it is now November so riding days will be limited.

Nice bike , well made, works great

After a 20 minute ride to adjust the seat height and handle bar angle everything is perfect. Shifts smoothly and accurately. The display surprised me it was colored! Motor is strong for 350w, you don't need more . Happy with purchase. Too bad the $500 government rebate does not apply to online orders.
